Believe it or not, professionally speaking I'm more of a accounting, finance, management consultant type... but I kinda keep 1 foot on the IT side of the fence. I'm a certified information systems auditor (CISA). I've had fairly decent success being able to translate between the "bean counters" and the technical IT folks; it is a decent skill to have.
Had VirtualBox on my E4300 Debian setup... before SSD & Win8. Technically it still on my other HDD... I'll probably set it up on the Precision Workstation again (now that it has a quad core processor that supports virtualization).
Play with Oracle SQL Developer on M$ SQL Server (via jdts driver). Haven't really set up a lot of open source DBMS at home yet.
My servers are mostly Debian with the LEAN Network install... played with an ubuntu to live CD but not the server flavor. (That's back when I set it up to boot from a usb memory stick, back before that became popular. It was an extension of a usb flash drive project to emulate Damn Small Linux (DSL) from a platform independrnt VM within a host OS).
Don't have any 24s lying around, but When I get back to a real PC I'll PM you a link to that eBay store.
