Have been running this build since last night...last 4 or 5 builds have been very solid/stable for me. This one feels snappier...and I haven't checked the changes yet, but this versions miui browser is quite good (I have finally dumped Dolphin).
I am due for an upgrade tomorrow and am a bit torn...I don't like the form factor of any of the new phones. I know this is off topic, but does anyone else find the new phones obnoxiously big? The D1 and iPhones are basically the same size...imo perfect for tote'n around in a pocket.
What do you think the odds are of a smaller Droid being produced?

Droid 4 is basically a razr with a slide out qwerty so its not likely they will go smaller.
I read over at miui.us that ics is coming soon. With cm dropping d1 from development to ics will mean the end of a dynasty for d1 and miui.
I've sbf'd back to froyo and running pe4.2 in the hopes it will carry me far enough to get my gnex

you wont see a worthwhile difference with the "stable" build
read this for a full explaination: Stable vs Development Builds
After I updated to 1.12.9 last night, I started getting a ton of FC's. I tried several times to restore to a previous version of GB MIUI to no avail. I wiped all and installed PE4.2 as well. Everything was running really well until that last update. I guess the time finally came when my OG just would not like MIUI anymore.
Does anyone know how to retrieve your text messages from the MIUI backup? I ran a backup before I updated and I can access the backup folder but I don't know what file to copy and where to paste it to get my text messages back.

Well...made the plunge - after much soul searching about what I want/need () I have moved to the RAZR. I hope to see MIUI ICS soon. Thanks Mag for keepin' my D1 cutting edge (at least that's how it felt).
