Bricked :(

I pulled my phone (D1) out of my pocket last night and the screen was black but the 4 buttons were lit up. The phone was unresponsive. I pulled the battery, put it back in to restart and it wouldn't boot. The backlights turn on, but the Motorola "M" doesnt' come up and the phone never boots. I can't get into recovery mode by pressing X as I boot either. Am I just screwed? I'd been running 1.1.14 for the last few days with a few phantom restarts but other than that, no other issues. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Pull SD Card out and then try to boot, see if that works

+1 ... can you boot into the bootloader? (press up on the d-pad while holding the power button)

Its not bricked its a blank screen .. I used to see it a lot when I worked for Verizon .. buttons are lit up and u can see sort of a backlight but nothing on the screen?

This happened to my wife's phone I used rsd to flash back to stock and it fixed the problem. She wont let me root anymore though . Just power up the phone and wait a min. Plug it into the PC and pull the battery. Then power on into the bootloader holding up on the d pad and power your phone should show up on rsd the flash the sbf pay attention and be ready to hold up when it reboots should fix it if not your back to stock and can go get a replacement with no worries.

cant brick it, unless u literally throw it like a brick....even then maybe u wouldnt? but the latter scenario is much more realistic. read about restoring via bootloader, ull be amazed

Can you explain the process in noob-speak? I did manage to root my phone with a walk-through and I've experimented with loading up several ROMs but I'm not not an expert and not understanding your terminology i.e. rsd, sbf. Thanks for your help so far!

Disregard. Did a little research and found the walkthrough for flashing with RSD Lite. Hopefully this does the trick. Thanks all for pointing me in the right direction!
