Hey Chevy, u think I'd run into problems trying to install system apps as data apps? Terminal emulator and sound recorder r both mia, and there was working versions in my last ROM I was using, winner's cm7 build n I'm pretty sure its based on 7.2, which is why I thought it'd work. I did notice Torch is working, I love that, and there's no equal replacement for it.

Yea those 2 avatars remind me of playing on party poker and full tilt.

For the most part installing certain system apps to data is ok, you usually need to fix permissions though and obviously s some apps should definitely not be moved... And installing data apps to system is usually OK too although some will not work that way (personally I always have go launcher, go locker and go sms moved to system)

So on the RC i'm not sure if the SMS app is just getting messages out of order or if it's my girlfriends network, other than that I have not experienced any thing else weird.

Well, bad news guys. Both my PS3 and my laptop just went down last night, within an hour of each other. Im trying to salvage what I can off the laptop, as it had all my PS3 CFW builds (my own that I made), my game backups, movies, pictures, music, and ALL OF MY ANDROID SOURCE. The PS3 hard drive is fine, but the system now has the YLOD. (if someone would like to help me get another one, I would like to hear from you, and have donation money from my Android work here to help pay for it).

I will keep you guys updated on my progress. Guess I wont be getting anything up tonight. Will be a few days until I get the system back up and running again to make any builds.

Bummer. Sent you a pm. I have a PS3 and I can also assist in data recovery if necessary. I have a lot of experience recovering pcs

How do you make one?

btw I have a new goal, I'm going to flash every single rom that still has working links, I'm on ultimate droid right now lol

Maybe I'll be lucky and Chevy will manage to get his latest update out just in time for my last day of having the d1 as my main phone

I'll also upload all of them with my tweaks at some point so everyone can grab them

So Geniewidget.apk would be ok to install right? If I ripped it from a different cm7.2 source, as long as I fix permissions? Sd10.1 is running crazy smooth, I haven't moved any apps to SD, only restored ones I frequently use, no v6 scripts, no swap partition, no link2sd. No lag whatsoever.
Tho I'm having a big problem with my gallery. It'll only load like 1/3 of my pics. Anybody have this happen?

im not sure about the geniewidget but it cant hurt to try, if it causes problems just uninstall it and i dont know how to fix the gallery but i'd suggest using quickpic instead, i personally love the UI and it seems much more ics style and just overall much better than the stock gallery imo
