I can upgrade whenever I want but am I deciding to wait till summer.
3 months seems like a long time with the OG though...

I'm too much of a flashaholic to resist upgrading (only one rom left in current development isn't enough), not to mention lag drives me nuts and I love taking pictures of storms and lightning but the camera on the og is just too slow and summer odd coming so I can't miss those storms... took me about 50 pictures to actually catch a couple of lightning (will upload later since the app wont let me upload pictures)

I installed from ROM Manager, checked the backup of currect Rom and clear cache options. Worked great.

Wipe data and cache or just dalvick?

UPDATE: did both... installing now. *Crosses fingers*
UPDATE 2: restoring from backup... apparently I don't want to clear data... don't want to have to re-customize everything again

Did u wipe or just flash over top? I usually find That that happens when I look for a shortcut and not wipe n just flash over whatever I'm running with just wiping cache. Nowadays, especially the OG I now sbf back to stock then go from there. I know it's a pain flashing from scratch and having to restore not only apps with some data but also appearance wise and everything else, like v6 or other build.prop tweaks. I'm pretty sure that's the only way to make sure no lingering files r still around when flashing.

Ok...wow only been like 10 or 15 minutes but I can already tell the difference so far...feels way smoother/faster/snappier. Will see how it holds up over time

No this was fresh install, wiped everything. Only thing using is link2sd, no v6 etc and had to use PE kernel as wouldn't boot for me with included ones.

probably not as well...i think the kernel in the link is basically for debugging purposes since it has logcat enabled (theres a reason logcat is disabled in most d1 roms, it slows the kernel down)
