Having issues connecting with wifi on D2. When I can get wifi to work without error it will find the routers but refuse to successfully connect. Its weird. If it does connect it won't turn green meaning its good to use internet.

I don't know where the logs go but willing to grab those to share. Would appreciate the help. This is the only real issue I've had with this ROM. Would like to get it fixed then this ROM should be the best out there for the D2 POS.

Flashed CM7. Same thing. Connects to router but doesn't access internet. Saw DX had issues with connecting to certain routers.

Morning all! I have a D1 with steel Droid on it. I was very pleased to see that there is still support for my device. My issue is that whenever I turn on wifi, the phone freezes and then reboots. Once it's rebooted there is a5~10 second window before it freezes again and reboots. It will continue this cycle indefinitely.

It seems as though when wifi is enabled it begins to search for open networks, but then the status under the"turn on wifi" option changes to shutting off, and that's when it reboots

My fix has been to bring up bootloader and do a factory wipe.

I don't know if it matters, but I also installed the optional kernel provided on page 1. Sorry for punctuation and spelling, I'm still getting used to Swype.

i've noticed weird things on my droid1 also, but not what you describe. for me, it was not remembering my settings, such as to always use swiftkey for everything. every reboot it would go back to default settings. i wiped partitions and reinstalled it (using the supplied kernel, not anything extra) and finally worked after a few tries (probably 3-4 wipes/installs) lol.

Try flashing a different kernel, something like Primes deprimed kernel.

I know, I havent updated anything in a while. Ive been working at the Democratic National Convention for the past month, so my time for updating anything was basically non-existent. I will go over things again today, and see if I cant get a couple more updated builds up for everybody. Thanks for hanging in there guys!

So... I searched around and looked under some carpets, finally i found a kernal! I found one of the ultra-low voltage ones on the original steel droid thread. I flashed that, then I didn't even test it. I went right ahead and flashed a mioi rom onto the phone for a day. I learned that it is not for me. That night i flashed SD 10.8 again, and now it all works as it should. Although my menus do not look like the screenshots (the buttons are different not slide switch style).

I just wanted to followup with my solution. Thank you to those that helped aid in my solution. Super big thank you to Chevycam! This is a really nice rom that you put on here, I have tried steel droid, liquid droid, miui, cm7.2, and stock... I like this one the best. Thank you
