Honestly, the ONLY reason I rooted my D1 was because the brainiacs at Google decided to REMOVE features that I wanted, and paid for. Namely, the ability to have the led notification blink while screen is ON! Needed if docked, or full screen being used. Obviously, phone is capable. I used nothing but CM based ROM's for this reason. (Have been flamed for requesting this on other ROM's, but I don't care.....Bought a phone that could do it...paid for a phone to do it.....do it!)

Steel Droid was the best. I just got a Razr Maxx, and miss this ability. I am rooted, but haven't loaded a custom ROM yet. My D1 is still using it (Wi-Fi only), but I wouldn't use anything else. Keep up the great work, and know that your work is appreciated!

For those that caught my post before this edit, I was looking for my images and source stuff. I have since found what I am looking for, but DID find some older SteelBox source. This version does NOT have the Advanced Settings in it (taken from PropModder). Its just plain SteelBox. I will see what I can do about adding those features back in, but my time is not as free as it once was. Still, I will continue to work on my D1 ROM, as I am probably one of the last devs still building for it.

Plain Jane for me is exactly what I've been looking for as well as stability and fast. Your ROM for my D2 has made me love a phone I've always considered lacking. It will be my everyday use from now on. Fine if you don't update it cause it works great!

Chevy, I understand your reasons for considering moving on. I have been using SD since 5.3 or so. I've tried other ROMS during that time, but always came back because the quality was best on SD. But sadly, time and the ever increasing demands of apps require a change. I am writing this post from my new EVO 4G LTE. I plan to keep my Droids alive as media portals for my house, but my need for the latest features will naturally wane.
I want to thank you for all the time and effort you have put in to make our phones the best and longest lived devices out there! I know the time is rapidly approaching when it will not be practical to continue development, but until then I eagerly await your next version!

GOOD NEWS! I have managed to get all of my custom ICS theme images back! Still can't build SteelBox like it was before, but will include the latest build of it until I get a replacement together. I have about 12 icons that need to be rethemed, but its basically back together. The D1 should be getting a new build shortly. Won't be the next couple days, but not a month from now either.

I'm guessing it'll be based on cm 7.2 stable that was released on 6/16
