Btw, Chevy, since steel Droid is based off aokp, are you going to update for milestone 5?
Liquid doesn't slow down, but I experience the reboot glitch the most, sourcery is still meh it's never been fast for me this goes back to the D1. Though I am going to try out M5, and I basically only use lean kernal because I do not have to pay to get the good governers....which I have nothing against paying for the apps I just can not buy them at all. I have no card on my google account.

Faux kernel is good, just read the op for how to set different things...
I do agree it kinda sucks you have to pay to fully utilize Franco kernel...main reason I got it was because it does offer some general any kernel extras, easy access to BOTH Franco and lean kernel nightlies with the changelog for Franco and support for some lean kernel settings

Also you can try going back to stock and trying THE NEW OFFICIAL 4.0.4 (pulled from a soak test) apparently it also includes new radios too

Edit-you can always try out Google wallet and get the free $10 and use that on for play store purchases
My cMetal 11.0 rom for the verizon galaxy nexus

Phone- The GALAXY NEXUS LTE all the
Rom- My own cMetal 11.0 rom (linaro enhanced cm-11.0)
Kernel- ASKP or my modified mpokang v10 superram kernel

Might want to wait a little bit, I'm not sure what the new 4.0.4 leak adds besides bootloader and radios so aokp might merge that into a new nightly
Btw new radios are super fast transitioning from lte to cdma (can't test how fast it connects to 4g but 3g returns much faster than any other radios yet)

At this rate I'm just going to wait for the radios to be put into a flash able zip I finally got TWRP working and would hate to go through that hassle again. I really care more about the radios. We don't know what was actually changed yet do we?

    Today is your lucky day!

IMM76K Radios and Bootloader - Galaxy Nexus - RootzWiki

I just flashed the 4.0.2 radio/bootloader package, and then the new IMM76K radio/bootloader package, and all it working PERFECTLY! Go for it! It doesnt break FXZ flashing in fastboot, unroot your phone, or even relock your bootloader. Everything stays intact/unlocked.
