theres all kinds of radios to try, 4.0.3 ones, 4.0.4 ones and all kinds of hybrid cdma/lte ones like cdma 4.0.2/lte 4.0.3, cdma 4.0.3/lte 4.0.2, etc
btw, stupid question but if youre in a 3g area you are switching from cdma/lte to cdma only in the more> mobile networks setting right?

there are also ones you can flash, or ones you can fastboot I tried that I corrupted the radio and baseband 0.o so I wanna stick with flashes or an update from verizon -.- And why yes I am, I have no 4G anywhere close to me, I am always in CDMA mode, no need to suck more battery trying to find a nonexistant 4G signal lol

Man I wish I owned a Galaxy Nexus right now. Had my first chance to play with my girlfriends cousins GNex and it amazing! Anybody know where I can find one cheap? I'm piss poor, so its got to be REALLY cheap. Lol. Only $100 in my PayPal (all of which has been purely DroidForums members donations, btw). I figure its time for me to do an upgrade past my Droid 3

try it with a custom kernel lol...highest benchmarks i got so far were 110 linpack, 4000 quadrant, 7500 antutu, and the HD screen is beautiful, battery life is meh so far though

the only cheap way i know of is starting a new contract with verizon on amazon and then its like $79

I support, and work on, a LOT of phones for ONE guy. lol
Let me first apologize if I'm not welcome here. But I've been running the last 2 lines that start with dalvik for a couple days now and it's only seemed to improve performance. I left out the "m=y" because i wasn't sure if it belonged. Running liquid 1.25, and francos r133. Sorry again if I'm crashing a party.

All input is helpful. Gives me real world test results to see what works and what doesn't.
