Rom looks nice but still can't sign into gmail. It just says can't connect to servers at this time so i can't obviously get to market app. No Internet connection so can't use the browser either. Tried to hook up to wifi but i just get an error there so that's a no go too.

Thought it was something i may have screwed up so i sbf'd again and got the same result. I restored a backup of gummyjar so that's where im at now.

i have an original droid. ever since i've been rooted, i've had a 1000mhz kernel. 10.8 is the first time ive seen a kernel maxed at 800mhz. is there a reason for this? is there a 1k mhz kernel i can get and install? any instructions? thanks

Theres quite a few out there. Most go as high as 1.2GHz. Look in the kernel section here, and you should find plenty. :-D Im not on my computer, so it would take me forever to get a link up.

And though 'no relation', at least I don't think there is :-) the chevyno1 roms work well. Available in normal, low, and ultralow voltages...

I prefer to use prime's kernel for the D1, since I can set my own custom values. I've managed to get mine to run at ridiculously low voltages, for example the 250mhz I got down to 25vsel, and the 1ghz I have running at 54vsel.

    primes "default" primed has 900 @ 60, yet I got 1000 @ 54 running fine.

Are using his Deprimed or Primed Kernel to achieve that setting?

Thanks to your post I decided to jump head first into Deprimed's kernel.. I've got it up and running now @ 1000 and 56 using Milestone Overclock. Do you use Milestone Overclock to set your Custom Value(s)? I thought I had one of the "good" moto droids, but I can't run very stable at 1000 and 54, I get reboots while listening to music, 56-58 is great and so far I like it a lot, although the instructions are a bit outdated as they refer to an "overclock" script in /system/bin that apparently isn't included in his kernel anymore.. I found a folder in /proc/overclock but those settings get rewritten on reboot, also get rewritten on using the primed command. Any suggestions or tips/better instructions to setting up a custom Frequency Table? If you could, maybe share your custom setup with me?

I'm curious what ChevyNo1 uLtraLow Voltage 1.0ghz runs as Vsel in comparison, not sure how to find out though.

Sorry if this is too off-topic to the thread- Thanks

There is definitely a better place to ask about Prime's kernels... The Prime kernel thread, for example. B-)
He is planning on doing an update sometime.
