Got a new version for the Galaxy Nexus about to come out. v2.6 is uploading now (assuming all final testing goes according to plan). Should be a welcome set of improvements!

There you have it! v2.6 is up for everyone! This is getting MUCH smoother and a lot faster! Tweaks are just pouring in! As usual, give it about 20 minutes, or so to fully set in. I am still working heavily on this, so theres more mods to come!


ADDITIONAL NOTE!!!
I have joined team VanirAOSP. I continue to do my own ROM building with my Steel Droid touch to it, but will be contributing a lot to VanirAOSP. I know many of you have known me to be a solo developer for the longest time, and thats the way I preferred it. I would still consider myself to be solo, but at the same time, Im helping out VanirAOSP by working on their ROM, pushing commits to their GIT, optimizing images, cleaning up code, and adding features. They are a GREAT (small) group of guys. SonicXML, PrimeDirective, DHOMD, NuclearMistake, AlmightyMegadeth00 and ChevyCam94 (me) are the team members. Be sure to check out their work as well HERE, and if you have something to add to the ROM, send a pull request our way!

Anyone tested Steel Droid v5.0 on Droid X? How does it perform?

I love your ROMs! I have been using Steel Droid on my OG for about a year now and you're basically the only reason I am still able to use this brick while I hold out for the next batch of devices!

It's been about 2 months since I last reflashed and it's getting to be that time. The phone is getting unresponsive and overall just making me mad. I see in your sig that your Droid is on v10.9. Any chance this is being released in the near future, or should I hop on the v10.8 build?

I will have 10.9 ready in a couple weeks. There are still a few things that I want to do to it before I make a public release

Yes actually. I have a little tweaking left to do on it, but now that it has been confirmed to work on the Froyo kernel, I can go ahead and start tweaking it up a bit more, and getting it ready for everyone. Wont be tomorrow, but its coming.

Will have a new version for the GNex coming out in a couple weeks, maybe earlier. Going to add back in the status bar brightness slider, and a few other new features. Im also porting some stuff from other ROMS, so it takes time. Credit will be given where its due.
