You know, since you mention it, I never really thought of getting a softer, smoother font, and something similar to what ICS actually has. Anybody know if that font is used elsewhere or has a name, or is that specific to that graphic/ICS?

Yeah because I see the font used for the sliders on where it says "OFF" looks like it barely fits in the slider. But the "ON" is okay. A smoother looking font would be better

Or possible just minimize the font size so it fits better.

And thats true, the word OFF barley fits, but thats all the room I have to work with. I though about making it so that there were no words, just colors, but that really didnt look like ICS at all, and seemed like it was incomplete. I will work on the words more tonight. Im done with the system modifications and all, I just have a number of graphics things I want to get ironed out before I release. So that should give most of you a bit better timeline of my progress. I still cant give an ETA yet though, as Im not sure how all this testing I need to do will get done in a timely manner.

BTW, anyone with a Droid 2, Droid X, and an Evo 4G, please PM me if you want to be a private tester. (Oh, gee, was that a huge hint to my release? lol)

I'm not sure I'm reading this correctly Chevy, but if you are looking for the font that ICS uses.... it is called Roboto.

Hmmm, Not quite sure about all that haha. I would like to think so but I don't know. Maybe give "Helvetica" a try if that doesnt work out. It's a very similar and clean looking font.

I ended up adding 4 official Roboto font files to GIMP, and used them to create new ON/OFF buttons. Here they are...

I know, the sliders look too "rigid" and square. Im not a graphic artist, so for me, this is pretty good. lol

I've reworked the ON/OFF sliders to give a bit more of a blended, or "shadow" effect between the sides. Now Im working on menu backgrounds and so forth. What do you guys think of having, for example, a power menu where the backround is transparent (partially). Im looking for a screenshot I saw some time ago, but I cant seem to find it now.

They look very nice Chevy! That sounds interesting. Are you talking about making the menus partially see through?

I can see it now...head on pillow, drifting off, and your eyes pop open with an idea...
Not that I've ever done that before...
