best rooting guide for og moto droid

    Question best rooting guide for og moto droid

    I've seen a lot and i still get no where. what is the best rooting guide should i follow?

    I used ROM Manager to download and install Steel Droid. Just make sure you backup and wipe the data and cache. It worked for me.

    Yeah 7.1 is missing the google backup transport...so it doesn't attempt to download everything from google like normal....I pointed that out to chevy this morning.

    the GoogleBackupTransport.apk is in system/app. Its there, but I dont restore any of my apps or data like everyone else. So I dont even make use of the app. Im not sure if its working or not, but I would think it should. Its a gapp file, so I cant change it. :-)

    thats where i tried to install google talk, it starts installing then it says it failed once completed.
