I have had the same thing happens to me occasionally
I have tried turning data on and off, airplane mode toggle, and hot reboot. It seems full reboot is the only fix.

I've chalked it up to poor reception. When ever that happens to me, I look at where I am and realize that the service where I'm located is spotty.
I don't this this is rom related.

That is just my take on it.

It happens to me exactly like that. I live in an area where the WHOLE house is a deadzone. I have to leave the house, and go down the street about 50 feet before I can get enough signal to do anything. I figured out that if I am looking at the About Phone screen in Settings, that when trying to restore 3G, it works every time, but if Im not looking at that screen, then it may or may not work. I dont understand that, but thats what I see so far.

I think it might be a combination of ROM and signal issues. I am working on that right now, as much as I can.

Hey Chevy, are you going to post a note over at the 6.3 thread and let everyone know that 7.0 is out. That I found out only happened accidentally.

This was truly one of my favorite GB Roms, however, after a couple of days I did in fact experience loss of 3G connection. Only rebooting would solve the issue. The 3G icon would just stay white but would not connect.

I'll be looking out for 7.1 or any update to this great rom.
    Going to test another

I just restored my 6.3. I came across some pretty disturbing issues.
    #1 voice search doesn't work
#2 in my car mount in car mode the dialer is messed up (the ui is complete messed up) and when dialing a number on speaker phone the dial tone is a loud peep tone. The microphone picks up the dial tone and causes feedback.
#3 even though the rom runs on higher clock than 6.3 but it is more slugish and laggy than 6.3
#4 the alarm clock force closes all the time.

    Please help.

Its come to my attention that there are a few more minor issues in 7.0. I am still working on 7.1 when i can. I have not been near a computer for a few days.

Also. If anyone is interested. I will be TRYING to develop Steel Droid for the Samaung Galaxy Tab (Verizon).

Sorry for the LONG delay in getting out 7.1. To be honest, I got sidetracked by a number of things, including building for the Samsung Galaxy Tab for Verizon. Im ALMOST there, just having some lib issues. But as far as Steel Droid 7.1, I just did a repo sync, and will be building the new version tonight. I wont be able to post it until tomorrow, as Im about to pass out. Its got a few necessary changes, such as 3G fixes, and so on. Sorry to keep you all waiting so long. I know I probably lost a bit of my fanbase for it, but what happened, happened. I will keep everyone posted on its progress.

Hey Chevy, it's been quite a while since I've post on one of your releases, but I'm still here. I've been with ya since SD 4 and continue to come back to your super stable ROM after each trial of another ROM disappoints, ie. UltimateDroid, CyanogenMod, etc. Keep up the awesome work! Can't wait for 7.1.
