Glad to see we have a nexus/Samsung manufacturer in the house :rolls eyes:
What I've noticed with the data connection here (rocky mount, nc)....there are areas where I have less 4G bars than before the update but it seems to me a much more stable connection. Haven't dropped...
Got mine last night, just updated a little while ago. So far so good, but I have noticed a difference in the signal bars. Used to show 3-4....now 1-2.
How's the battery drain issue so far. Everyone and their brethren seem to have an issue since updating.
Still waiting in NC.
Gotcha. I personally use the vz service apps so guess I never consider them bloat since I'd probably d/l them anyway.
What bloatware? There's none on this phone.
It's been updated. Says "get the most....." in the pdf d/l.
That was a question I was wondering. I didn't think he was rooted.
I didn't think *228 worked with a sim card. It's supposed to update on it's own.
Wow. Kinda glad I waited a couple more weeks instead of rooting.
This definitely isn't how 4G works. I've only ran into I think 2 areas where I have dropped 4G and they are isolated country areas. I would say it's the phone but you've had multiple phones. Not...
Reading thru the xda forum 4.2 has several bugs and inconsistencies period. Could be the real culprit VZW taking so danger long. Hopefully Google can fix these and we'll get pushed straight to 4.2.2
I downloaded the kit and it installed a ton of stuff on the pc. I have W7 and have had my phone plugged in before to transfer media, etc. and as far as I know nothing ever installed. I'm guessing...
I dunno. That's kinda what I was wondering with the drivers. It is something I had to do separate or does the toolkit do it all. Just trying to cover all bases before I go thru with it.
Trying to root my Nexus with Wugs. I'm on his website looking thru all instruction and decriptions, etc. What "drivers" are they referring yo and where can I find them? Also it seems his toolkit...
It would be so much more comforting if i had something to trial and error on. Finally gave in and made the attempt to root. Obviously not as easy as I thought since I've yet to get it to work.
Either some of us have gotten lucky with this phone and the screen and radio "problems" or you don't know how to take proper care. I've had no problems with either, have never dropped a call or...
Maybe....Just Maybe Verizon will get their act together and have another nexus in the future. If not I'll see what Motorola Samsung have to offer and compare.
I've got well over a year before I can think upgrade as I purchased my nexus back in Oct. Who knows what'll be on the board come 2014.
I don't think I could go without LTE.
Maybe a bad SIM card.
I see some of the toolkits and different roms looking through the stickies. What's a good one to go thru with so I know what I'm doing rooting my Nexus?
I'm still torn between whether to go thru with it or not. Just dont know if i can deal with a buggy phone. I guess I need to read up some and go from there. Maybe if we're lucky the ota will come...
I can't speak for any other stock users, but I don't know how comfortable I am attempting to root. I'm pretty technically sound, but risking screwing up my personal phone by hoping I d/l the right...
