    Note 2 software update.

    My note 2 just had a software update. I am still on 4.1.1 has anyone else got this update?

    Have u checked apps that use multiwindow? I know they were suppose to update it. I wont take the update just yet cause im on the fence of unlocking and rooting it.

    Given the size of the update, I'm sure it's primarily a patch for the Exynos exploit that received so much press a few weeks back.

    No, it's still 4.1.1. It's probably just the exploit patch that has been making the rounds over the past few days.

    I just got off the phone with Verizon and they said that it helps with the memory and ram. He told me that if my phone is rooted that it should not affect anything. My note 2 is not rooted so I do not know if he was right on that.

    Many people online are reporting that the update will unroot a rooted device.

    The update is only 7.8 MB in size. I doubt it changes much at all.
