im aware that im posting in this forum an off-topic but i have to rant:
been with verizon for more than a year now, 2 android phones and one basic phone = $ 200/mo. for me ($21 in surcharges, $11 in taxes included).
ive felt verizon's been getting pretty fat lately with the massive amount of smartphone activations. ive also felt for a while now that the services are overpriced and its a trend that carriers have jumped on.
so i have unlimited data. but wat sends me over the cliff is that verizon has the nerve to throttle after only 1gb of use. after they introduced tiered data i thought that was expensive ... but after looking at what theyre going to charge for plans and data at the end of june -- its going to be even more expensive ! ($100 for 10gb shared).
so ive been looking at sprint, they offer unlimited messaging, unlimited data, for my setup a 1500 min plan will run me about $15-20 less per month than with verizon right now.
but wat interests me the most is how good is the 3g/4g service in the tri-state ? when they say they dont throttle is that true ? so on 3g the expected bandwidth would be about 1.5 Mbps, is that wat sprint customers see when they do a speedtest whether its at the beginning or end of the monthly cycle ?
what kind of bandwidth can i expect on 4g ?
