I got my new Galaxy Nexus Tuesday May 1. The signal meter would indicate 3 or 4 bars, 4g. but 4 out of 10 times when trying to use anything data related, like the internet, texting or mail the phone would then display a signal strength of one or less bars and drop to 3g. On Friday, May 4th a Verizon store employee advised I call technical support (800-922-0204 or *611) from another phone. He said they would be able to trouble shoot the phone for me. After about 45 minutes with technical support they said it looked like my phone was defecated and since I was within the 14 day guarantee I could pick up a new one. They even called the store to make sure there was one in stock for me. The new phone is working much better, longer battery life and no dropped data connection.
