sorry to hear you had so much trouble with the Nexus. Guess I'm lucky as I've had no such problems. Enjoy your Razr
Hi, I don't know if this will help or not. I was having the same issue with my phone, I just this moment got back from verizon. I was having the exact same issue. Since I had just got my phone a few days ago, they told me to give it a couple of days and come back if there are more issues. While leaving there I dropped 2 calls. Since I am self employed this was truly unacceptable. I did a u turn and went right back. I handed the phone to him and said please do something. He was about to change the sim card when, this other gentleman who work there said why don't you try to reset to the gentleman who is helping me. Now, I do not know what is reset is and I guess it doesn't have anything to do with my phone. All I know, is that he was on the phone for about 10 minutes or so with verizon. while he was talking to them he was doing something with my phone. When finished, he handed my phone back to me and said it looks like there was an issue with my phone switching from 4 g to 3g. Before he did this, the most signal I saw was about 2 or 3 bars. A lot of the time I saw I know bars at all. When I left I had full 3g signal and I have not seen the signal go below 1 bar. I have made 3 phone calls so far and haven't dropped 1 of them. It's still too early to tell but my phone definitely has better reception according to my signal. I don't know if this will help you or not but I figure I should let you know anyways. I do not think that dialing a 228 number helps with these phones as that information is stored on the sim card.

1. When saying what phone or rom you have, make sure to include the word rocking or rockin as a verb in the sentence.
Look if some are getting fine reception and others aren't, it might not be the device causing the issue. This 4G S**T is taking some time to work out the bugs in the overall system....it's not always the "PHONE" that is causing the problem. I'm one of the lucky ones who's Galaxy Nexus is working just fine... I wouldn't even think about another device for my needs. also, I thought the *228 function doesn't apply to 4G devices. does adding the 99 to *228 change that?
