Newb with Fascinate question

Hello all,

Im basically a newb to the smartphone era. I used to have a chocolate touch, and got my Fascinate today. I have 2.2.2, but it wants to update to 2.3. Now when I try to update it, it wont let me because it says network error? It kicks me off wifi during the download so I have no clue what to do.

I also would like to root my phone, just for the fact I like screen shots, and fun things to do at work . Any links on how to do that would be great.

Try to turn off wifi then start the update

I did have wifi off. I took the battery out, turned back on, now it works. Hmmmmm

Turn off wifi.

You can take screenshots by holding the back key and pressing the sleep button
