    Microphone - Speakerphone works, regular phone doesn't

    During calls, my son's Samsung Fascinate microphone works when it is in speakerphone mode, but doesn't when it is in "regular" phone mode. I can even change in-call between the two settings and it turns into a "can you hear me now" excercise.

    I have taken the case off and tried it... it just seems to be a strange situation.

    Am I missing some sort of a setting?

    I assume the same microphone works for both the speakerphone and the regular phone - so I would assume it is not an issue with the microphone itself.

    I checked around and a few others have posted a similar issue, but there doesn't seem to be to much of a resolution.
