This looks like a very easy way to get froyo and root at the same time check it out i havnt yet im at work but i know this dudes work and hes good so i bet it will work great and if not he will do his best to help you out so try this.

I used the method posted above and it worked flawlessly. Once you have 2.2 you won't ever want to see 2.1. By the way I think the vibrate feature works better with 2.2. It could just be me though. The phone volume is alot better as well. Apps2sd and flash support. Don't give up, the method I posted only takes about 10 minutes. If I can do it than trust me anyone can.

YES.. i couldn't imagine it without Froyo. Especially because of the lag fixes.. not to mention the ton of others.

forstir9's post was a great find.. i would recommend it to anyone, especially the inexperienced people.
