    Vibrate not working after rooting

Rooted yesterday, using the stock kernal that was loaded when I rooted the phone and I have now lost the vibrate function. I have searched and do not see anyplace where there is a patch to fix it. Any ideas?

The only thing I can remember reading its that if the radio and kernel does not match, using DJ05 kernel with DI01 radio, haptic feedbacm may not work.

I have found that some roms I try haptic feedback does not work either so I always try to use one that has what I need.

Sent from my SCH-I500 using DroidForums App

I had a fascinate that was not and had not been rooted and the vibration quit. They replaced the phone, I just wonder if that is a problem with the phones or if rooting did something to it.

wierd...i dont see any reason why rooting it would have affected the haptic feedback on the phone...

Well after I flashed the DJ05 radio and a corresponding DJ05 Kernel all returned to normal and Haptic feedback was working again and with no issues since.

yea running corresponding kernel/modem to build is needed but you didnt say you had modded anything, just rooted...

did u update to DL09 OTA...anything other than rooting? did you flash clockwork mod recovery?

I did just root, I am not the one that modded anything. I did the DL09 update a few days ago. I rooted last night and flashed clockwork recovery. That is all I did to the phone.

Samsung Fascinate with DJ05 radio and Kernel, Sonofskywalker Custom rom, multiple other customized options inside rom as well as eliminated alot of bloatware.
    Clockwork recovery installed.

and any time I install a Kernel that is less than DJ05 the Haptic feedback stops working as well as other things. I revert back to a DJ05 kernel and those items work again.
