    Horrible static while on phone calls

    After the last update I started getting random intermittent static while on calls. It is random loud bursts and has been getting more frequent, if I am on speaker the other caller can hear it but only when I am on speaker, otherwise they are not aware of it. I took my Charge into VZ they couldn't explain it and they sent me a replacement phone. Still happens with this one too. I saw a post in the Nexus forum so I am wondering if it is a Droid issue, speaker issue, or a VZ issue? Anyone else have this problem? I love my Charge but this is extremely frustrating...

    Same here - definitely annoying. Doesnt happen on every call, but often enough.

    Yep, happens on my charge too. Makes me feel better to know it happens to other people too though.

    My wife has the same complaint and a replacement phone is on the way. After reading this it sounds lie this isn't the fix.
    Anyone have a soultion yet?

    Samsung Charge static or "clicking"

    This is happening to me too. It is super annoying. Has anyone found a solution? I have a few months left on my warranty...

    Verizon has an update that will be pushed out in the next few days for the Charge; among other things, it is supposed to fix the static issue.

    Same here ... it's gotten worse the past couple weeks

    the 2.3.6 update didn't help anything. I thought my computer might be causing some kind of interference, but I turned off everything (including modem and router) and it still happens. I also tried toggling the Voice Privacy and Noise reduction options on and off but no change. It's bad enough that it makes it virtually impossible to have a very productive conversation... that sudden burst of loud static pretty much cancels out any thought processes that were going through your head

    I hope someone figures this out soon!
