    MMS messages not going though third party IM app.

    I use GoSms for instant messaging, but some messages...mostly those that I have forwarded from my gmail account use the built in messaging app, and show a blank message with an MMS link in GoDms.

    Is there a setting I'm missing?

    Yep, you might want to be more specific. I do not get the part about forwarding from Gmail. How do you get an email to forwarded to a sms app? I had a Google app that you could use to text from the computer, but I got rid of it because it just totally took over.

    I use Handcent for messaging and there is a setting in it to make it the default messaging app. Does yours?

    The other thing you can do in GoSms is look in settings to see if there is a setting to make it the Default texting app. Select that and you will eliminate interference from the stock app. I use Handcent and there is a setting in that one to make it the default app.

    Ok.

    I work in IT, we occasionally get "critical" tickets that are sent to my gmail address. I know...I need to setup my corporate account I'm just being lazy.

    Those critical tickets seem to be going through the stock SMS program... and goSMS simply shows a blank window/box that says MMS, with a play button that does nothing.

    I need those criticals to go through goSMS.

    Clearer? Or more info?

    OK I just downloaded the goSMS app and have gone through the settings. On the initial start up there are some settings that deal with eliminating duplicate notifications, but nothing specifically about making this the Default SMS app. I found something that might help. Check to see if this is marked (checked) because this setting says you will not be able to send or receive mms if it is not checked.
    open app Menu > Settings > Advanced tab > MMS settings USER AGENT

    Since you are IT hopefully you can go through all the settings there and ensure proper setup for MMS, it is over my head.
