    Adding Application Shortcuts Very Slow?

Wondering if it's my device or if others have noticed this as well. When adding application icons to a desktop via Menu>Add>Shortcut>Applications there's a long delay to get the list of installed apps to show up.

I use Android Booster, which I love, and I find that if I use that first, the delay is much much shorter.

I'm not a heavy widget or app user, so I'm not sure what it might be...other than the phone itself.

Try uninstalling Android Booster, reboot and then try adding an app to the screen.

Try switching to a different Home Screen app such as Zeam, Go Launcher or ADW. Of those three Zeam is probably the fastest and least resource hungry, but they are all good. You can install Home Switcher to make it easy to try different Home Screen/Launcher apps.

Get on the screen you want the app short cut on and open ur app drawer find the app long press it and it will place it on the screen. Way faster.

    Perfect!
I was reluctant to install any new home screen type apps, as I love it the way it is.

But that works absolutely perfectly,.thanks again.

I always do it this way, the other way takes *way* too long. As the OP says, it seems like it takes forever for the apps to build on the screen.
