    screen is washed out

So turned on my phone from it being asleep and the screen is now all of a sudden really washed out - wondering if anyone else has had this issue, ive rebooted several times and its as if the contrast has been turned all the way up to the max - the blacks are now light grays and it just looks horrendous, even when the white samsung logo appears on the black bootup screen I can see the a kind of pixelated effect around the logo.
Any ideas on this, pay all this money for an amazing screen and it goes awry!!

Not sure on a Samsung phone, since I only own Motorola and HTC. If you want and I can look it up for you, or you can search Google and probably get what you're looking for. I think if you go into settings and go into like privacy or storage you might find an option to do it.

Just looked it up. Menu button applications>settings>privacy>factory/data reset is it.

I just took a screen shot but funnily enough it looks normal and is hard to tell (which makes me believe it may just be a screen issue?), you can basically really notice it on the bootup, when the eye animation shows, the kind of red smoke effect that normally fades very gradually into black that surrounds the main droid eye thing as a kind of firey mist, well that is all blown out so there is no gradient, its all red, looks terrible and drops straight off to black.
