HDMI Output Settings 720p problem

well there appears to be no way to change the output settings of the hdmi.
This poses a problem for tvs only capable of 720p resolution. very dissapointing
as it works fine on my 2 1080i tv sets. but the smaller 15 inch 720p it wont work,
which is where i really need the feature for backyard and traveling viewing.
has anyone had any success on a 720p tv? Hopefully they will address this issue
in the next patch. very dissapointing as i upgraded from the droid x which worked
fine on 720p with the real hdmi application. any answers or follow up will be greatly
appreciated.

Don't all TVs accept 1080i input? They pretty much have to since many HDTV sources broadcast in 1080i.

I'm having the opposite problem. Two different 1080P set's but it's outputting at 720P and no option to set it higher.
