Calendar issue - wont sync older than July 2011

Got a new Charge last weekend. For some reason my calendar will not sync anything older than July of this year. Ive cleared the calendar storage cache which deleted everything. Once it was synced again it only shows July forward. Ive checked/unchecked the sync box, doesnt work. My old Moto Droid 1 had no issues whatsoever with this.

Ideas?

i havent used it but it seems like there is a setting somewhere you overlooked.
some widgets have a little gear symbol in the corner to access settings.

My Droid Charge is the same way in that it will only sync events starting with the prior month. I suspect it has something to do with the way Samsung configures it. I've never pursued a solution since I really have no need for older events and can access them via gmail if necessary. However, note that once an event it is synced it will not be deleted by future syncing. In your case events from June 2011 (and onward) will stay on your phone unless you hard reset.

I had the same problem. This is the solution that worked for me. I used an app called myphone exployer (available on android market). I downloaded that app to my droid bionic and then downloaded the PC version to my desktop. I then loaded the desktop application and when into the setting menu (located under file tab). You can select where the calendar data that you wish to sync (either outlook or gmail calendar).

Once the desktop settings are entered. Launch the myphone exployer app on the smartphone and then launch the sync command on the PC application. The smartphone can be sync'ed via wifi (on the same network), USB cable, or bluetooth.

In the settings menu on the desktop application, you can set the calendar to sync all events or a specific time frame. You can also select which smartphone calendar you wish to sync the information. I selected the phone calendar and not the gmail calendar to prevent the older events from being deleted.

The application is shareware and a donation is optional. This worked for me.

I use Touchdown for Android. Just set it up like an iPhone -- setup ActiveSync to server m.google.com and it syncs calendar, e-mail, contacts and global contacts for GoogleApps (if your organization uses GoogleApps for BUS or EDU). Infinitely more customization, but it is not free. If you live and die by GMail, Google Calendar, etc -- it's definitely the way to go!!
