Factory Reset Doesnt work?

Hello,

I try to factory reset my phone, but to no avail, all my applications are still there, Ive tried it three times, tried the volume down power button method, and my phone still works, the only thing is i cant download anything, and if it can, it wont open as every application essentially goes forces itself to close..

Anyone know a solution or do i have to go to verizon to deal with this

I am having the same issue. My phone has been acting up every since I tried to install something and got an invalid package error. It almost seems like things are not being written properly, because whenever I reboot my device, all the changes I made will be gone. A WiFi network I added was gone and widgets I added were gone. It also will show my apps as installed again that I uninstalled before I rebooted. Thanks.

if your phone is less than 2 weeks old i would go back to vzw and get a new one.
after that they will likely send you a refirb in the mail.
personally i would re-flash it myself. ed1 or ed2, it will ota to ee4 on first boot from either one.

Have you tried either of these methods?

Via Hardware:

1. Press the Power button to turn off the unit.

2. Press and hold down the Volume Down button located on the side of the device, then press the Power button and release it.

3. The phone should start with a menu present a list of options.

4. Use the Volume Down button and navigate to the Clear Storage option.

5. Then press on the Power button.

5. Select Yes to confirm your choice of selection.

Another way is to key in *2767*3855# and dial it.

Thanks. How long should Return to Stock take, and should it be showing anything other than Ready... on the bar? UPDATE: It appears I needed to take the battery out before holding down vol down and inserting the cable. Then once the android digger in the triangle appeared, I put back in the battery and started the PST Lite. Now I have a progress bar moving past 70%
