No Backlight?

Someone explain this to me, please. I read in the Droid Magazine that Sammmy's Charge has no backlight. When I first read this i thought to myself "oh they must mean it has no notification led". There can't be no backlight so someone explain to me what kind of backlight is in there. Is it some sort of LED matrix? I have to know what Sammy has done to make such a claim.

im not understanding what you want to know, there is no keyboard so what sort of back light do we need?

the screen is what it is, not sure how you would back light it.
hard buttons are lit, not sure what else could be done, reasonably speaking.

I believe it refers to the Super AMOLED technology that has no backlighting and the blacks are pure black because the screen at those pixels is actually off (no backlight).
