I just got the Charge through Costco... $179. Unlike amazon and wirefly, you must keep the phone you buy on the line you used your upgrade with... No switching it to another line b/c you will be charged an outrageous fee if you do. Costco, you can switch the phone to any line you want and could even sell it if you wanted with no penalty fees. You also get a free bonus package... Leather Case, stereo headphones and car charger.

My wife has a rooted Thunderbolt and I have a rooted D1. She is not thrilled with the battery life and I was thinking about buying a Charge, root it and give it to her, then I'll use her Thunderbolt. Will that work in theory even if I buy from Amazon (without the outrageous fee charged by Amazon)?

count as changing a thing however wouldn't it be wise of you to READ
the terms and conditions OR call them to confirm?

I ordered it online. From the home page, go to the verizon link and it will scroll through various verizon phones. Under droid charge, go to "learn more"... Although, after just checking, it appears they are currently out of stock. Call their customer service, 888.369.5931 from 6-6 pacific time. they may be able to tell you when they will get more in.
I called before ordering to make sure I could switch the phone to another line once I got it (which is when she said as long as I have an eligible upgrade, once I get the phone, I can do whatever I want with it including sell it if I want to and there would be absolutely no penalty fees).

well not completely accurate..... You can't make MAJOR changes such as adding a line, or changing phones. If you want to add minutes it's ok.Quote:
