Unhappy Music Player Not Recognizing Files

I just bought a Droid Charge (after having an original Droid). I docked the phone to my home computer and transferred many audio files (wav and mp3) into the Charge, all of which displayed and played on my old Droid. When the Charge is still docked to the computer, I can see all the files did transfer to the phone, as they are all in the list. However, when using the Music Player in the phone, there are some folders and music files that do not show up but others that do. There seems to be no rhyme or reason to this. I tried copying files yet again into the phone but nothing changed. Any ideas?

Did you power off the phone, and then power it back on?

Happened to me too. I downloaded poweramp. Always recognizes the music. If you don't wanna do that if your music wont play hold the lock button and go to restart. That fixes it for me and that seems tto be the only fix. I used my old memory card with all my files and everything worked fine. as soon as I started using the 32gig one I had problems

Yes, I did power it off then power back on. Nothing I tried worked.
After all is said and done, I was not totally happy with the Droid Charge, so went back to the store and exchanged it for an HTC Thunderbolt. So far, so good with features I like, and all the music files I put onto the phone show up in the music player. So, I won't be posting in this section of the forums any more.

Thanks for your suggestion. I appreciate it!

Thanks for your answer. I tried Poweramp and it works very well, as you said. But now I have the HTC Thunderbolt and everything is running quite smoothly.
Thanks for your input, I do appreciate it!
