Soft Brick Droid Charge after Clockwork flash attempt...

I have rooted my Droid Charge through Odin3 v1.3 using the VoodooChargeKernel4.tar.md5

It worked. I applied a few applications like setcpu and downloaded rom manager I wanted to flash clockwork recovery to make a backup. I selected it from the list and then selected samsung charge. the app requested su access. i accepted. then nothing seemed to happen. I repeated the same step and nothing seemed to happen again. I thought it needed to reboot and install. but nothing happend. I selected to make a backup and i named the file new. the phone restarted
now the phone will not get past the samsung loading logo. I can still download to the phone but i do not have a backup. I read that I needed to root my phone before I could apply a backup.

btw i have been patient thinking maybe with this new phone a splash screen would hide the backup information. i left the phone on for about an hour on the charger and it still just displays the samsung logo

any ideas on how to get my phone working again?

I am not sure...but I think you may have to Odin a stock image? or try rerooting again with odin. But I am not sure how that works. If you do not get much of a response here, I would make a post in the rescue squad section or on xda in the charge forum.

Using Rom Manager with the Droid Charge is a bad thing?

I know that Rom manager doesn't work with Fascinate. I wasn't sure about Charge. Good luck!

That sucks it has an option for Charge on its flash list. Rom Manager is usually good letting you know if you are trying something beta

Anyway, I used Odin to install Altered Beast **Alpha**
everything stared up fine. I actually like this Rom better.
it looks like CWM is working as well

sweet. I just got this phone yesterday, that would have been awesome if i bricked it after a day!

No problem. I am glad it is working now! At least now you know how to fix it if there problems again. One more side note about voodoo kernels, remember to disable voodoo lagfix before flashing anything non voodoo.
