If it has 512 for os only that leaves the other 512 for apps only right?
I wouldn't judge the TB too hastly just based on the battery door and the fact that it's a little what you guys call "heavy". Take care of the darn thing and don't go dropping it everywhere you go. If the battery door breaks it only costs 4 bucks, big whoop. You already spent 250 on it so the price to replace the battery door once every blue moon should be marginal in cost.
Also, people who complain about the T-bolt being too heavy are a bunch of girls. To be realistic, if you can't stand to carry around a phone that ONLY weighs 6.3oz then you shouldn't own a smart phone.
Given the price difference, I'd choose the T-bolt. Better over all specs and more bang for your buck. Just my .02
FWIW, I compared the screen quality of my friends D1 to my T-bolt and let me tell you,the two are worlds apart IMO, the t-bolt is WAY better.

It is all a matter of preference. I prefer a lighter phone that can do all the same things as a heavier one. Name calling in a discussion only shows that you don't have a good argument

I'm comparing the TB to the Fascinate I currently own. The Fascinate dimensions are:
4.18” x 2.5” x 0.39”
4.75” x 2.44” x 0.56”
The TB is about 50% thicker and 50% heavier. You can certainly feel 2 ounces when you are comparing 4 to 6. It isn't that one's pants will fall off or that the two ounces will make your hand tired holding the phone, for me it is about what feels right. If all else is similar, I'd rather have a lighter phone over a heavier phone.
It is all opinion and I would never take offense at someone have a difference of opinion. However, it is hard not to call someone out for acting like a child and name calling because they disagree.

I'm with you. When I upgraded from my D1 to the TB I was VERY happy with the weight of the phone. I always loved how heavy my D1 was. It felt like a tank and behaved like one. I dropped it NUMEROUS times without it ever meeting its end. Playing around with my gf's Incredible reminds me how much I enjoy a heavy phone. While the battery cover for the TB feels a little...errr... inelegant... for what it's worth... I hardly see that as an issue. I can't honestly tell you I've ever sat and really thought about wanting a different battery cover. It's a silly complaint and seems forced. The only time the battery cover was a legitimate complaint was when the D1 released and the battery cover would just randomly fall off. Otherwise we're just looking for reasons to complain.
I think I'm gonna go with the Charge. I had a TB for 2 weeks and it felt very solid, but it I wish it was thinner. The Charge will be thinner, lighter, and have a much better screen. Battery life and camera quality on Samsung phones is also generally better than HTC and hopefully this will be the same. I was glad to hear that they'll give us a 32 gb card as well. The TB is so similar to all the rest of HTCs phones and I want something new. At first, I was skeptical of the Charge's design, but the more I see it the more I like it. I really don't care for Sense or TouchWiz, either one will probably get covered by a launcher, and last I heard you can actually turn off TouchWiz like any other launcher, and use stock without rooting or anything. Since this is one of Verizon's flagship 'droids', they'll probably put the pressure on Samsung to keep up on updates. And since Samsung actually designed the first 2.3 phone, they will have had a jumpstart on putting it into other phones. I'll miss the kickstand, but oh well.
