Installed cyanogen from rom manger... now stuck at loading?

    Hi all,

I rooted my droid, then intalled rom manager and selected the stable version of cyanogen (free). Everything seemed to work fine, when it completed and booted, I had no home screen, all black. I could bring up other windows like by using the menu key and guessing..

Now it's the same screen as the 'lock', boarding android in the circle with circling 'fairy dust' and says cyanogen(mod). I can unlock it (i can feel when i drag it across the screen) but the screen stays.. boot looping?

    What do I do now??

nevermind, booted to clockwork recovery and restored.. Is it worth trying to install another version, maybe one of the newer beta?

You needed to wipe all data/cache before installing the ROM. Do that and it should work just fine.

When you install a Cyanogenmod rom, you NEED to select the 'install gapps' option.

    good luck
