MOTO M stuck

Hello,

I have a friends droid un-rooted running 2.1.

Plugged in last night to charge as far as she remembers it rebooted with out asking. Now while plugged in it looks like the beginning of boot screen, but that is it goes no where,not a boot loop, swapped my battery with her. fully charged battery screen is lit with moto m, on the charger screen stays lit with moto m. if battery pulled while on charger screen stays lit, unplug it goes blank! with im good but not this good! anyone have any testing ideas or suggestions?
