    Cant install update.zip

    Ok so I'm following the guide on this website How to Root Motorola Droid on Android 2.1 My Digital Life and I've flashed over the SPrecovery file to the droid. When I go into the recovery mode, I believe that's what it's called, and then try to install from the sd card, I get the error that the card couldn't be mounted. How do i fix this problem? I also get error status 31 when trying to create a nandroid backup. All help is greatly appreciated.

    31 is it cant read the SD card. when you go to the mount options in SPR does it read mount SD card or unmount SD card at the bottom?

    Let me check. Booting it up now..

    Ok it gives me the option to mount the /data, /system, /cache, and /sdcard. Also to enable the usb mass storage. /cache was already selected.

    I occasionally have this on my rooted droid. I can correct it by reflashing recovery. I'm not an expert at this stuff by any means, but you might want to try that.

    Ended up using the new beta release of the DMupdater and rooted in under a minute, thanks for the help though.
