    Exclamation 2.1 update 1 root question...

    Tried flashinig the 2.1ese 81 sbf file...no good....am I going to have to flash the 2.0.1sbf 1st?

    Then apply a custom rom?

    Yes, if you have the SBF for 2.0.1, flash that, then root it.

    Flash a recovery

    restore a nandroid of 2.1 or 2.2, or whichever you want.
    Motorola Droid 1
    Steel Droid v12.0 (GB WIP)
    RZ's 2.0.3 Recovery

    Droid 3 v5.0 (5.7.906-based)

    Galaxy Nexus (32GB)
     Steel Droid GNex JELLYBEAN v7.0 (AOSP 4.2.2 Hybrid WIP)

    tried flashing.....failed....what gives?

    his phone says firmware 2.1 update 1
