Ring toggle going crazy

Hello Rescue Squad ----------- My ring toggle is going crazy .

I've had this app for a long time and now ------- just today when I tried

to go from RING ONLY to VIBRATE the vibrate momentarily showed up in

the notification area and then disappeared ... Upon checking the app ..

sure enough the setting had moved to another setting .

What do I do ? --------- Should I uninstall and try again ?

I'm sure this has been discussed here before , but I could not find info

about the issue ............ Thanks much , Great site ---------

Not familiar with that app, but a reinstall couldn't hurt. If you're still having the problem and we can't figure it out, you can always email the developer of any app by going to the page in the market where you download it from, and scroll to the bottom to locate the proper link.

Thanks -------- I'll probably do that ..........BTW -- Would you suggest another similar ( or better ) app that would perform a similar function .?...

No problem! Can't really reccomend anything. I use the slide lock for silent (sliding from right to left puts it on silent), and the volume key for vibrate/ring (pushing down until the vibrate icon appears and the phone vibrates, or up until I reach the desired ring volume).

When using an app like that though, be careful not to accidentally hit the volume buttons, as that function will likely override the app's settings.

Hi, boys! Here we are again! Also, Rodger, try changing to your desired setting and then reboot the phone immediately. Not sure why, but many times that makes the configuration change stick.

If you have beautiful Widgets it comes with Widgets for toggling ringers. The app is inexpensive and comes with great Widgets. Might save you some hassel from an app that's giving you issues.

I can second that. I used those for a while, but forgot about them after rearranging my homescreens. Quite handy and I love the clock/date/weather. That's currently the only beautiful widget I use, but the whole pack looks/works very nicely and the dev is very responsive!

Better go as I don't want to stay up till 1:30 AM like the last time .

I only use the small clock and the vibrate widget I just recently discovered the short cuts within the clock widget
