    update.zip file

    I have been trying to reroot my droid now for 2 hours and I can't seem to get a working update.zip file. Every time i try it tells me:

    E: Failed read footer from sdcard/update.zip (Is a directory)
    E:signature verification failed
    Installation aborted

    I have tried multiple different files and I just can't seem to get past this. Any ideas?

    Are you extracting the update.zip?

    Are you making sure it says update.zip and not update.zip.zip

    I download the droid-superuser_update.zip file and rename it to update.zip and get the error

    Is it on the root of your sdcard? Not in a folder...

    hmm the update.zip is showing as a folder and it is under /sdcard

    Ok if you're using astro it should look like a box with files in it. Are you downloading straight to your phone or to pc?

    i bet you have it as update.zip.zip just rename it to update

    i made sure it wasn't update.zip.zip and i renamed it with astro to update.zip just to make sure
