    So i have downloaded Rom manager and i still don't see roms higher then 5.0.5.3. I'm thinking its cause i'm on the N1 (nexus) rather then the droid.

    However whats confusing on CyanogenMods site he has 5.0.6 listed for N1.

    Yeah, I think it's incremental also. Meaning that I don't think you can jump from 5.0.5.3 straight to 5.0.5.7 or something. But I don't know that for a fact, I've just heard others saying that they can't see past the next numbered version. I also don't know anything about modding the Nexus 1 and if there's any differences.
