Good Morning everyone! I have been receiving spam on my notification bar. Don't know where it's coming from & don't know how to stop it. Can anyone help me, please. ;-)

Define spam...any chance of a screen shot??

Advertisement, such as.... You've won an I pad 2, just enter your cell number... etc. Sorry I erased the latest one, not even sure if I know how to post a screen shot. LOL

Is this spam txts or email?? I know yahoo mail has the first line or so of emails in the notification bar.

Neither, just a + symbol shows up in my notification bar. I pull down the bar, and there it is. I click on it & it goes to a web page. No option to remove anywhere. It's becoming an aggravation.

It's being generated by one of the apps you recently downloaded. If that is not the case there's an app that detects ads - "Airpush" I think?

Thanks! I'll check it out. Wish I knew which app.

Just uninstall the last 2-3 that you installed. Then add them back one at a time and wait for the ads to come back. Or Google the app names and see what comes up. There may be mentions of ads associated with them. Also, read the comments in the Market and see if ads are mentioned there.

I installed Airpush, it found a live wallpaper and 1 other app. It even uninstalled them for me. Hope that was it... Wait and see. Thank you so much!
