    So is there anyway around this??

    Please see the attached image as well as the attached link that started earlier. I have been trying get my Droid X back from the dead..if you will... from going from Liberty 1.5 to the rooted Gingerbread...which may have killed it... and I am having a hell of a time trying to fix it. Please assist.

    From Liberty 1.5 to Gingerbread root...not wanted to apply the ROM...now stuck

    I am also running on XP sp3 and with rsd 4.2 because that seems to be the ONLY Rsd to pick the usb connection...but it still doesn't load anything.

    Well even after loading up Unbuntu Linux..to try and reload the SBF file, I am not getting anywhere. It says it cannot find the phone.

    From the filename, you are flashing a Droid1 SBF to a DroidX. That will not work.

    Well I downloaded the correct file for the Droid X sbf. And it still is not connecting

    Not correct. RSD lite 4.8 works great. It's the only RSD that runs native as administrator also

    Ah. Its 4.7 that doesn't work. I apologize.

    Have you tried moving the sbf into the rsdlite folder or renaming it to a shorter name?
    There are a few tricks.
