SOMEBODY HELP QUiCK knda stuk n boot anmaton,thn starts rom for 2 seconds then back

After installng cynogen mod 7 I ran nto the same prob as with 6 I ddnt have google apps so i flashed them and installed and now I have this problem. I cant boot into recovery by holding x! the phone will start for a few seconds showing the droid and sayng touch to contnue, then the cynogen mod guy comes flyng n and the boot anmaton plays 1-2x then starts the rom. If i cant boot nto recovery, what can I do?!

So i Was fnally able to boot nto recovery, and dd a nandroid restore. But still lack the google apps and m afrad to try to install again after that scare. I dont have my contacts or market or anything

Are you wiping data and cache before installing the ROM?? And are you installing the gapps while still in recovery??

Try these steps:
Wipe data and cache 3 times each.
Flash ROM
While still in recovery flash gapps.
Reboot.
