I've tried to reinstall BootStrapper, it did no good. I even went as far as purchasing the App directly from the market, along with TBH's app. Problem is, the App does not stick, so after rebooting it restores everything back to how it was prior to the installation of any app. This problem is driving me crazy. I'm in the process of closing a deal off a Craigslist seller for a D2G. I hope I can get it tomorrow. I still want to fix this phone :\

I still want to fix this phone though, so I could possibly resell it or give it to

Edit: Yea PC was helping me, we've tried different methods to no avail. What is this Safe Mode? Is it X+Power, Camera+Vol Up/Down+Power?

How to start your Motorola Droid 2 smartphone in Safe Mode. This will boot the device with the default software and settings. It is used for those occasions when you have installed something on your phone that has caused it to malfunction to a point where you can’t undo it.

    1. Power the Droid 2 off.

    2. Slide the keyboard open.

    3. Press and hold the OK key while powering the device back on.

    4. Keep holding the OK key until you see the Home screen load. It should say Safe Mode in the bottom-left corner of the screen.

To take the device out of Safe Mode, simply power the device off, then back on.

Taken from here: Droid 2: Enable Safe Mode

See if that even works. If it does, you might be able to make some changes and be able to fix things.

I was able to get into Safe Mode, i'm not exactly sure what I could do in here. My App Drawer only shows the default apps. What do you suggest I do in here?

Try doing a few things. If you don't get all those FC issues then you know it's probably an app screwing things up in normal mode.

Does the Market work in Safe Mode? If so, try installing Bootstrapper again.

Upon booting up my device in safe mode, first thing I noticed is I get a Force Close on the app 'Sweet Notes'. Market works, I am able to download - but not able to open the app after the download and installation is complete.

I'm going to mess wit it a bit more to see if I come up with anything.

I gave up. I'm just gonna let it rest, and recover from my lost brain cells the past week trying to fix it. I got a new phone now. I bought a Droid 2 Global. Kinda digging it.. just not the price I paid for it :| Going to stay stock for awhile, then see what's out there when i'm ready to flash.

Thanks for the help. I just wish I was able to get it fixed! LoL

I just don't understand what happened. I want to know if it's hardware related, or just some files totally jacked up on the device. Oh wells. Maybe when i'm ready to give it another try it will have a better turnout
