Thread moved to RAZR HD section. Questions or troubleshooting should not be posted in the development/hacking subsection.
This thread: [TOOL] Easy Root Komplete should have what you need.
"She leans into me and I keep my arms around her. I don't fool myself that I hold her together -- She does that on her own -- But holding her keeps me from flying apart."
I will be trying that method later. I have not downloaded or looked at it, but is an Un rooting method included as well? I am only concerned with the warranty if something goes bad in later in the phone and Verizon using it as a convenient excuse.
I read here:
ROOT for Razr HD - xda-developers
That " You can manually unroot your Droid by using a root file manager program (such as root explorer) and mountsystem as R/W. Then delete the following:
/system/app/Superuser.apk
/system/bin/su
and if it has it
/system/xbin/su"
Is this true?
that would remove root, "su" is the program that runs to provide root access to the system and superuser.apk is the program that manages access to SU so you can control what apps can and can not use it.
But would this work for a warranty replacement? Or could they tell the phone was rooted?
