Apps Auto-Updating, Even When Not Selected

I have my settings so that I am notified of updates, but I will select which ones and when to update. A few I don't use or want, but they are, unfortunately, not deletable. I had about 5 or 6 that went ahead and updated. I checked my settings and they were not set to Auto-Update. This has only occurred once.

Any ideas why this may have occurred?

Hmm, no that's strange. Have you checked the play store settings and looked in the app settings to make sure it isn't selected in either? Some apps don't have it in the settings but some might.

Kind of off topic, but have you considered rooting to disable/delete those apps you don't want?

I did double check the no auto update settings and re started the phone. Later in the day, I was notified there were available updates, but they were not updated, but rather just waiting for the go ahead.
So why that occurred that one time will be a mystery.

I did learn, from this forum, about disabling unused apps, too.
