I think power cycling did help.
Now here is any easy question for me to see if my phone is really acting funky or not:
When you use the GPS (Google Navigator) with this ROM (phone is also plugged into the cigarette lighter) will it eventually overheat? aka I have my SetCpu to retard the timing when the CPU or battary temp goes over 50degC which I believe is a pretty standard temp.
Thanks in advance!!

The GPS can overheat the phone easily due to the massive power draw, and if you're charging at the same time you're generating even more heat. Luckily the GPS drivers have been updated since 2.1 and the heat buildup has been reduced. However...
And I'm sure you're tired of hearing it...
Every Droid is different. YMMV.

Yeah, this scenario I described as ALWAYS happened since I rooted and installed SetCpu. Back when I was running, Simplystunning and then Cyanogen.
furbearingmammal, can you describe a specific scenario when your Droid's CPU gets above 50degC repeatably?

Playing Tiki Towers for two hours straight.
Watching Flash videos over 3G can do it too because I'm in a low-signal area. Done both.

Yeah,
I guess it time to start experimenting with other kernels.

Angry birds kills my battery easily.... Also, the navigation thing seems pretty standard... even on stock non-rooted phones. You can read phone reviews on carrier websites about the navigation heating the phone and draining battery. My phone loves UD and slayher kernel..... but I don't... I prefer Project Elite (with UD contacts and mms apps) and slayher is the best kernel i've used.
