Anyway to get the stock gallery back? My phone completely freezes up and I need to do a battery pull when browsing in the gallery after a few seconds.

Im also not sure if its the rom or my physical phone, but I cant seem to type any special characters using the physical keyboard. I hit alt and the cursor changes, but the letter only shows up, not the special character.

Monster, all you gotta do is reflash the ROM without wiping to get your stock apps back. Hope it helps.

According to the changelog, the gallery app isnt the aosp.

Switch Gallery3D to Cyanogenmods instead of aosp(credit cm)

I was looking for the stock aosp galley apk.

here is the gallery aosp. this is an update.zip so you can flash this or you can pull the apk from the zip and drop it on your sdcard then use terminal or root explorer.

To anyone having ANY issues, wipe,wipe,wipe, reflash, DONT restore ANYTHING......

Ive never really had to many issues EVER with PE on my droid. But since i flashed 6.5 i would get a few random reoccurring issues. When i first flashed 6.5 i used titanium backup to restore just my apps and app data. It seemed to be a little laggy so yesterday i decided to reflash, and take everyones suggestions into account. I downloaded a fresh copy of PE 6.5 and the update google apps, rebooted into recovery, wiped and formatted everything multiple times (i know its been said this is not necessary, but i did it anyway). I then flashed PE 6.5 zip and the google apps zip, then rebooted. I then just downloaded anything i needed back from the market. This phone has never worked so good. Like i said, my droid always worked the best with pe, but this is amazing. DONT RESTORE ANYTHING. Start fresh with this, it will be the best experience you have ever had with a rom.

Glad to see this worked out for you. Starting fresh is always good. Its great to clean your phone out from time to time from that old data that may not even be used anymore.

For a Final, I gotta say, this has been a disappointing release. Hope it gets better in the future.

kind of stinks but cant make everyone happy although I would like to try. If you can let me know what its missing or what problems you may be having maybe I can work on this in the future.

Dude, you're the best Droid ROM Dev out there, don't beat yourself up because some lazy prick decided to try something new and couldn't handle the fact that he might need to put some actual thought into getting it to work for him.

On a side note: Awesome release, I've been with you since PEv4 and finally took the plunge to PEv6. I must say, I regret having waited this long to try PEv6. Keep up the great work, and don't forget that for the one that leaves disappointed, you've got thousands more who are "happy as pigs in ****".

No offense but it kinda sucks for you to finally perfect gingerbread 2.3.4 RIGHT before 2.3.5 comes out, not dissing you but it certainly is bad timing...anyway I'm gonna post this to all the major devs but I'd definitely like to be a tester for updates/new versions so if you want a tester I'm here lol (although my Droid is a beast and handles about anything easily so I can't guarantee what will work for me will work for everyone)

Lol such a random post. Completely pointless since devs work on their own schedule whether its gingerbread or those still deving for group like the dev of DC
